Tasting Notes:
Liquid ruby with immense aromas of leather and cedar. On the palate are layers and depth with flavors of baked bing cherries, black current, fresh pepper, vanilla and raspberry. Soft tannins, good structure and well balanced. This is a big one that should age well for years to come. |

Production Notes:A little more than five tons of Merlot was picked from our Hillside Vineyard at the end of October 2008. The fruit was desorted, destemmed without crushing, then berry sorted before going to the fermenter. The must was cold-soaked then inoculated and pressed at dryness. The wine was placed in a combination of new and used French oak barrels for 22 months.
